Alan is an accomplished Engineering Manager specialising in roads and civil infrastructure, with more than two decades of experience delivering complex transport and urban development projects across New South Wales, the ACT and the UK. Holding a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Glasgow and accredited as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), Alan brings deep technical capability paired with strong leadership in project and design management.

Across his career, Alan has led the successful planning, design and delivery of major road upgrades, multidisciplinary civil works and high-profile transport programs. His recent role as Industry Lead – Roads NSW saw him drive business performance, strengthen client relationships, and lead strategic tender submissions. Alan has delivered a range of significant projects, including the TfNSW Nambucca Heads to Urunga Pacific Highway Upgrade, the Lawson Alliance Great Western Highway Upgrade, and numerous TfNSW road design commissions. He is known for fostering collaborative, high performing teams and consistently delivering quality outcomes from concept through construction support.

Alan’s leadership has been central to winning and delivering several major infrastructure initiatives. His strengths span team management, client engagement, road engineering, business development and the delivery of complex multidisciplinary projects.

Outside of his professional life, Alan is a keen golfer and an avid sports fan—particularly when it comes to football and golf. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family, which keeps him grounded and balanced amid a busy project schedule.
